Dr. Ruckman's insight into the meaning of the scripture is fantastic; however, it is very, very difficult to use this book. He spends an inordinate amount of effort pointing out the mistakes of the translators of all modern translations; this is very interesting, but does not really help anyone who is just trying to understand Hosea, Joel, etc. I wish Dr. Ruckman had chosen to make Volume 1 his commentary on the Minor Prophets, and Volume 2 his commentary on all of the modern mis-translations. As it is, it is too difficult to follow the flow of the scripture and match it to his comments, and this problem is exacerbated by the Kindle. The Kindle really works best for folks who are reading a novel front to back: when you need to go back and forth for Bible study, or any textbook study, the Kindle can be painful.
