Wow this was a very powerful read! The author shared a story through Anika's eyes that there is a way you can make it but it takes prayer and healing.
Anika's Story is an insightful look into the healing process of a young woman who experienced a devastating betrayal at a young age.
This book is short but deep. It's the story of Anika and the way God helped her crawl out of the pit of depression she had falling into. While this story is about Anika what I loved most about this book were the poems that lead the path to the story and the quick references to the bible that were included.
This was my first time reading this author's work. I can tell that she's passionate about this subject. I applaud her for writing Anika's Story about child sexual abuse and providing contacts as well as encouragement to victims.

Anika's story will have your reading and holding your breath at the same time. It is the story of Anika and what happened to her as a young child, the most unthinkable thing and the way she tells it makes you just want to hold her and comfort her and tell her all will be well and she is now safe. It is her story of how she triumphed over an evil thing and how God helped to heal. Latoya Murchison is an excellent author of A Praying Heart an excellent book also, where I first discovered her after trying to find my way back to my faith. Her book helped me and still is helping me to come back into the fold. This is a must read for anyone who has had the unthinkable happen to them and may also help them understand it was not their fault and they can heal. I love Latoya writings and eagerly look forward to anything she may write. I think you will too after reading this touching story.Anika's Story (Novelette) (A Season of Change Book 1)

I enjoyed Anika's Story. It's a story of strength, growth, and forgiveness. This tale will take you on an emotional ride that will leave you rooting for Anika every step of the way.
